Regional Sales Manager - Midwest
PHI is expanding their sales organization by adding a dedicated Sales Manager in the Mid-West area to service a well-established existing customer base as well focus on growing the Midwest market. In this role you will be responsible for developing and executing a well thought out sales strategy to expand PHI in the Academic Material Science space and relevant industrial verticals, while supporting and expanding existing customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
To be successful in this this role you will need to be motivated self-starter that can accomplish:
- Strategically approach a large geography by maximizing your sales productivity through appropriate new business prospecting and existing customer support
- Utilize PHI CRM software – Salesforce - to track, document and manage all sales activities for relevant opportunities
- Help to create and deliver an accurate sales forecast and sales plan in the territory effectively leveraging CRM software tools
- Develop a clear understanding of the customer’s requirements and goals in order to identify the appropriate solution and provide accurate quotations and proposals
- Be an active and engaged partner with the company’s scientific team to meet and exceed customer expectations in delivering the best, right solution
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of PHI USA company products, the surface analysis market, as well as competitors products offered in the industry
- Represent PHI-USAat trade shows and conventions as needed
- Travel requirement – 50% regional travel
Qualifications
- Degree in Material Science, Physics, Chemistry or a related discipline preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of technical sales, preferably instrumentation (a background in Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV)-based instrumentation a definite plus)
- Proven track record of successfully achieving sales targets and quotas
- Adept in developing and delivering compelling presentations and demostrations
- Eligible to gain access to Federal Laboratories (required current U.S. passport, no criminal history)
- Must reside within sales territory
- Demonstrated ability to work independently managing a high degree of detail
- Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication
